Cleansing Your Tarot Space

A question I oftentimes get from my tarot students and clients alike is "What do you do to cleanse your space?" The answer is simple, "smoke." Not that kind of smoking, of course! But the smoke from an incense stick, a palo santo, or a sage bundle is the preferred way to cleanse a space. My favorite way to do it is through incense and prayer. I figured, if it's good enough for the Catholic Church, it's good enough for me! It's always worked wonders for making my tarot room and home feel protected, calm, and cleansed of any negative energies that may linger after I've done a tarot reading session. In my case, dozens of tarot readings.
To set the mood, the first thing I do is play meditation music. I then light up an incense stick (any brand or scent will do), and I walk about the entire house repeating an intention prayer. I ask God (the Universe) and my spirit guide, St. Michael the Archangel (leader of the celestial army), to protect my space against any demonic activity, any lingering spirits, and any person who may wish me ill or have the evil eye upon me. I repeat this intention prayer throughout the entire house until I am led back to my tarot room (office). I then cleanse my tarot cards with the same incense stick and proceed to meditate with my spirit guide for a time. Sometimes it's only 10 minutes. Other times it's been over 2 hours. Only once these things have been done am I ready to begin a tarot session.
How do you cleanse your space? Please share it with me in the comments section down below. I'd love to know!
